BASMATI
RICE:
Mostly when the word of Basmati
comes people asked what is the meaning of it. Basmati rice has
been reported in this region i.e. India and Pakistan since decades
though the same have been named differently. "Bas"
means "aroma" and "Mati" means "full
of" hence the word Basmati i.e. Full of Aroma also translated
as the "queen of fragrance". Basmati rice only grows
in the foothill of the great Himalayas. This rice is different
from other rice mainly due to its aroma and elongation post
cooking. No other rice in the world has these combined characteristics.
The post cooking elongation of more then twice its original
grain length, Its per fumy, nutlike flavor and aroma has made
basmati rice a delicacy. WHAT MAKES BASMATI UNIQUE?
Each of the grain of matured old basmati rice on cooking, separates
out and with its unique characteristics of aroma and elongation
after cooking, it is a treat for the dinner. Due to its unique
taste and aroma its market shares in Europe, the sates and the
other part of the world have grown rapidly in the latest years
when consumers have found the highly quality in Basmati as there

The differnce between Ordinary and Sella Rice (Parboiled
Rice)
Many people believes that sella rice is a different kind / variety
of rice. This is not the case, as a matter of fact the only
difference is the difference in the milling method, Sella is
a Rice that is milled differently i.e. the paddy (Raw Rice)
is steamed and then dried for further milling. The color of
the rice grains can also be darkened according to the ones requirements.
Any rice variety basmati or non-basmati can be milled using
this process. The advantage of this kind of rice is that after
cooking each grain separates out perfectly hence it is widely
used in preparing Biryani, Pulao or Zarda. NON-BASMATI

Any
rice other than basmati rice is called non-basmati rice. In
